Shopify app

Batch and expiry tracking
for the stock you already manage in Shopify

Give each product lots with best-before dates. The app follows Shopify’s stock, takes sold units from the lot that should leave first, and tells you what is expired or about to expire. A flat monthly price, no fee per order.

Three steps

Pick a product, describe its lots, and let the app follow Shopify’s numbers.

1

Track a product

Search your products and press Track at the location where you keep them. The units Shopify already has show up as “not in a lot”.

2

Add its lots

Enter each lot code, best-before date and number of units, or import a CSV. New deliveries can also be added to Shopify’s stock in the same step.

3

Sell the right lot first

When Shopify’s stock goes down, the app takes the units from the lot that expires first (FEFO) or arrived first (FIFO), skipping expired lots and lots on hold. You see what is next to ship, and what needs attention.

What shoppers see

Optional theme blocks: a “Check your batch” box where a shopper types the lot code from the pack and sees the product, lot and best-before date, and a “Best before” line on the product page. They never see quantities, orders or other customers.

Good to know

  • Lots are estimated from stock changes. Shopify tells the app how many units are available, not which lot an order took. The app draws sales down in the order you choose, so the lot numbers are a careful estimate, not a record of what was picked for each order. If you need to know which lot went to which customer, this app does not do that.
  • Not a compliance system. It helps you manage dates and rotation. It is not a certified food-safety or recall system, and it does not replace your own records where the law requires them.
  • Stock changed outside the app. Returns, counts and transfers raise Shopify’s number; the extra units appear as “not in a lot” for you to assign. The app never guesses a lot for them.
  • It changes Shopify’s stock only when you click. Receiving a delivery or removing expired units adds or removes the same units in Shopify. Nothing is written automatically.

Lots with best-before dates

Expired and expiring soon

Receive and write off

Add a delivery as a lot and raise Shopify’s stock in one step. Remove expired or damaged units from the lot and from Shopify with one click and a confirmation.

Import and export

Bring lots in from a CSV and download your lots and history any time.

Shopper lot check

Optional theme blocks to look up a lot code and to show the best-before date on the product page.

Questions

Does it show which lot each order used?

No. Shopify’s stock webhooks carry a number, not an order, and the app deliberately does not read orders or customers. It estimates the lot from the order you choose (earliest expiry or earliest arrival first). For per-order lot traceability you need a different tool.

What does it change in my store?

Nothing, unless you click. Tracking is read-only. Receiving a delivery or removing expired units changes Shopify’s available stock by the same number of units, with a confirmation, and every change is logged.

What if I sell units through other apps or in person?

Any decrease in Shopify’s stock is taken from your lots in the chosen order, whatever caused it. Any increase from outside the app appears as “not in a lot” so you can put it in a lot.

Does it work with several locations?

Yes. Lots are tracked per product variant and location. Starter tracks one location; Pro tracks as many as you have.

What data does it use?

Products, variants, locations and inventory levels. It asks for no access to orders or customers.

Does the price go up as the store grows?

No. It is $19 or $39 a month, however many products, lots or orders you have.

What happens when I cancel?

Cancel in Settings or uninstall. Shopify’s stock is never changed by cancelling. After an uninstall Shopify sends a shop/redact request, and we delete the store’s lots, history and settings.
